PTB Big News Chandigarh : The Community Affairs Division of the Punjab Police, in collaboration with Children’s Right to Justice, organized a state-level consultation on human trafficking at the State Judicial Academy in Chandigarh, involving police, government departments, commissions, and non-governmental organizations.
. .In his inaugural address, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav emphasized that trafficking is a serious exploitative crime that targets vulnerable groups and has devastating long-term consequences. To effectively combat this problem across state borders, there is an urgent need for interstate and inter-agency coordination between the police, labor, women and child departments, and non-governmental organizations.
. .Senior officials from the Railway Protection Force, Rajasthan Police, UIDAI, and the Punjab State Women and Child Commission shared valuable information on law enforcement, cyber surveillance, robust enforcement, and public awareness as important tools to combat human trafficking.
