PTB “Gegets” News New Delhi : Apple is expected to launch a new budget-friendly iPhone called the iPhone 17e in early 2026. This model is likely to be the next version of the iPhone 16e and is aimed at users who want an iPhone experience at a slightly lower price. With significant demand in markets like India, the iPhone 17e could become an important product for Apple.
Although Apple has not officially announced anything yet, reports suggest that the iPhone 17e has already entered mass production. This usually means a launch is not too far away. If Apple follows its earlier pattern, the phone could be launched around February or March 2026. This timeline makes sense, especially for India, where Apple has been trying to attract more buyers by offering relatively affordable models.
One of the biggest highlights of the iPhone 17e could be its A19 processor. This is the same chip expected to power the main iPhone 17 series. If true, users can expect smooth performance for everyday tasks like social media, streaming, and gaming, along with long-term software support.
The phone is also expected to come with a 6.1-inch OLED display, which should offer better colours and brightness compared to older LCD screens. Another major change could be the addition of Dynamic Island, replacing the older notch design. This would make the phone look more modern and closer to Apple’s premium models.
On the camera side, the iPhone 17e is likely to feature a 48MP rear camera, similar to the previous model. However, Apple may improve the front camera, possibly upgrading it to 18MP. This should result in clearer selfies and better video calls. There are also reports that Apple may finally bring MagSafe charging to the ‘e’ series. If this happens, users will be able to use magnetic chargers and accessories, which were earlier limited to higher-end iPhones.

The iPhone 17e is expected to be priced close to its predecessor. The iPhone 16e launched in India at around Rs.59,900, and Apple may keep a similar price to stay competitive.
