PTB Big News Jalandhar / Kapurthala / Subhanpur : Under the ongoing “War on Drugs” campaign of the Punjab government against drug smugglers, the civil and police administration on Thursday demolished the illegal construction of a drug smuggler today on the orders of BDPO Nadala.
. .The administration has taken JCB on the encroachment of the panchayat land by Jagir Kaur alias Billo, wife of Kishan Singh, resident of Lakhan Khole under police station Subhanpur.

Giving more information in this regard, SSP Kapurthala Mr. Gaurav Toora said that as per the orders issued by BDPO Nadala, it was stated that while participating in anti-social activities, Jagir Kaur has built a house on the Panchayat land of village Lakhan Khola by encroaching on it.
. .According to the BDPO, Jagir Kaur was repeatedly issued notices and asked to vacate the illegal occupation, but she did not leave the illegal occupation, due to which the help of the police was sought.

SSP said that 8 cases of NDPS were registered against Jagir Kaur alias Billo in different police stations. In this, FIR No. 30,127,183,85 and 239 are registered at Subhanpur police station and FIR No. 33 is registered at Bhogpur police station (Jalandhar).

.He said that as per the strict instructions of the Punjab Government, the District Police is committed to completely eradicate drug trafficking and no person involved in drug trafficking will be spared and strict steps will be taken as per the law. The police officer said that this campaign against drug trafficking will continue in future too.
